In 9M 2018 Mosenergo increased heat output by 2.5%

Mosenergo has stated its operational results for 9M 2018.

The Company power plants produced in 9M 2018 40.7 bln kWh of electricity — 0.7% less than in the same period of 2017 (41.0 bln kWh).

Heat output from collectors (including local and district thermal stations) increased by 2.5% to 53.2 mln Gcal (vs. 51.9 mln Gcal in 2017), mostly due to lower average outside temperature in 1Q 2018.

Mosenergo is the major territorial electricity generating company in Russia, comprising 15 power plants with total installed capacity of 12.8 thousand MW. Installed heat capacity is 43,1 thousand Gcal/h. Mosenergo power plants supply over 60% of electric energy, consumed by the Moscow Region and cover around 90% of Moscow demand for heat energy (without account for newly-annexed territories).
